Hey, guys. RedheadXilamGuy here. Now, I know what you're gonna say: "Why are you talking about Atlantis SquarePantis?? It's the only SpongeBob episode worse than any other!! It is THE bad SpongeBob episode!!" Well, that's what I'm gonna talk about right now.
Now, several people consider Atlantis SquarePantis to be the #1 WORST episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. While I agree that it's a very bad episode, I wouldn't consider it to be the WORST episode of all time, that spot goes to "A Pal for Gary" ("One Coarse Meal" is actually #3 according to Jem Reviews). In fact, I know you may think I'm crazy, but Atlantis SquarePantis would've actually been a GREAT episode. I mean, think about it. SpongeBob and his friends going to Atlantis? That sounds awesome!! What could possibly go wrong?? Well...... the fact that it's a forced musical. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought Atlantis SquarePantis would've been a great episode, so were HaroldCheese, Rich4270, and even BPDisneyFan. Similar to "Oral Report", Atlantis SquarePantis had a great idea, but I too wish pre-movie SpongeBob SquarePants did episodes like that, because it's about SpongeBob and his friends going to the lost city of Atlantis, which kinda sounded like an original idea. But POST-movie SpongeBob SquarePants did the episode, and all of a sudden, they botched it up in a lousy execution. While this episode may not be AS bad as "A Pal for Gary" or Truth or Square, I can see why people hate this episode. So, here are ways what WOULD'VE made Atlantis SquarePantis a very exciting episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, proving that "Oral Report" isn't the only episode that originally had a great idea, but ended up with poor execution. God, that Atlantis episode of Phineas and Ferb had more dignity than this!!!
So the premise of the episode is SpongeBob and his friends visit Atlantis. Several attractions at Atlantis have charms to each of the group, including Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward. However, after popping the Oldest Bubble, they are chased by the guards. Plankton appears and is adored by the king, who makes Plankton as the replacement attraction of the bubble. SpongeBob and the gang return to Bikini Bottom. And that's probably the premise. But here's what would've made the episode great. Not just the concept, but.....
What if this episode WASN'T a forced musical? That would've been good. BUT if they wanted to make it a musical, they need to have a REASON to make it a musical. First of all, the episode's songs, I will say, were poorly written and forced. Yes, even Squidward's and Plankton's. If they wanted to have an opening musical number, then the first song of this episode should be ABOUT Atlantis instead of bubbles. The writers, I will say, should've done more research on Atlantis. Atlantis isn't about art, bubbles, money, science, OR weapons. If you wanna know what it IS about, look up Atlantis on Wikipedia for example, and you'll find out. A lot of the songs here are very poorly written. Here are the songs from the film:

A lot of the songs here are very poorly written. Here are the songs from the film:
- The Bubble Song (sung by SpongeBob and Patrick)
- Fueling the Bus (sung by SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Plankton, and Squidward)
- Mr. Krabs' Song (sung by Mr. Krabs, BECAUSE)
- Sandy's Song (sung by Sandy, BECAUSE)
- Plankton's Song (sung by Plankton, BECAUSE)
- Squidward's Song (sung by Squidward, BECAUSE)
- Back in Encino (actually sung by Nicolas Carr and Steve Marston)
- Good-Bye Atlantis (sung by SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Plankton, and Squidward)
Yeah, all of these songs are poorly written, and have no relation or connection with Atlantis. There are only two song that are close to relating to Atlantis; and those two songs are Fueling the Bus and Good-Bye Atlantis, but even Fueling the Bus doesn't know what Atlantis is about. Good-Bye Atlantis probably doesn't much either. If you're gonna make Atlantis SquarePantis a musical, you need to have ALL or MOST songs that are about Atlantis. This episode also could've used humor. Oh, and let's not forget about guest star David Bowie. Yes, I know he died back in 2016, but it would be very nice for this episode to let him sing just at least one song. He does voice Lord Royal Highness, but I agree, why can't Lord Royal Highness sing? They probably should've wrote a song about Atlantis for him.
The Bubble Song shouldn't be the first song in the episode, because this episode is about Atlantis.
Also, if you're gonna use the Patchy the Pirate subplots, make his house Atlantis-themed, or have him and Potty visit Atlantis, while wearing underwater suits. Or better yet, why not just..... DON'T use them at all?? Oh, and also, don't forget to use the narrator as well.
Take a few examples of musical episodes from popular cartoons that came before (and/or after) Atlantis SquarePantis came out.:
Boat Show, a Space Ghost Coast to Coast musical episode, which consisted of 11 numbers. Yeah, the episode is 15 minutes long, but the songs were very hilarious. I know the show is for adults, but watch and see to find out.
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. I know that was actually an R-rated theatrical film based on a TV-MA-rated TV show, BUT it DOES count as a feature-length episode of a popular TV show. And the songs in Bigger, Longer & Uncut were very well-written and perfectly orchestrated.
See Me, Feel Me, Gnome Me, an episode of the original Powerpuff Girls. This episode was one of Chris Savino's biggest highlights in seasons 5 and 6 of the original show. And the songs weren't so bad.
What does Atlantis SquarePantis do? Shove their songs down our throats for no reason, just because it's a musical. What is this? Rock-A-Doodle??!!
"Hello Bikini Bottom!" may be a better musical episode of SpongeBob, but I wish Atlantis SquarePantis was too.
And yeah, even WatchMojo.com hates this episode. Also, what's up with the filler?? That's one more thing about this episode I wanted to talk about. DON'T EVER USE FILLER!!!
And those are why I think Atlantis SquarePantis would've actually been a great episode, because it's about SpongeBob and his friends going to Atlantis. BUT this is also why I wish PRE-movie SpongeBob SquarePants did something like this. Yes, they did a mediocre episode like "The Sponge Who Could Fly", which was ALSO a musical episode, BUT it wasn't as bad as THIS episode. Pre-Movie SpongeBob has shown us what being a pirate is like (Aargh!), what going above water is like (Pressure), and so many others, and have even tackled self medicating (Suds), procrastinating (Procrastination), swearing (Sailor Mouth), and many other interesting topics, and handled them in a very creative, funny, and subtle manner. I feel like doing an episode about Atlantis would've been another episode they could've excelled at, besides public speaking. But no, POST-movie SpongeBob did the Atlantis episode, and all they did was use Atlantis just for songs and most things that actually DON't relate to Atlantis. Just a complete waste of opportunity in my opinion.
And that's why I wish Atlantis SquarePantis would've been a great episode. I'm the RedheadXilamGuy, and I'll see you guys next time.

Confession About the Movie Critic Dude
Greetings, everyone. DannyD1997 here. (Deep sigh) I know, I shouldn’t constantly make apology letters to so many people, but I wanna make amends with the Movie Critic Dude. Now, listen. If you know about the drama I had with him, I’m not happy about how I treated him back in 2020. I know my past actions about how I treated my opinions as facts was not cool of me. You already know that I was bullied in the past, and how people called me a crackhead, and all the drama I had prior to my time on social media. He blocked me in 2020, because of how I harsh I was towards fans of Danny Phantom, Rene and Stimpy, etcetera. I know that I was not faking my hate boner for any piece of media. Nothing excuses me for my sour behavior. I never wanted to be a toxic person. And forcing people who blocked me the first time to block me the second time just made me look like a total asshole. I acted more like George Pig than Muffin Heeler. If you’re familiar with PAN_OZWAR, @JasonTheCartoonFan, and
Why I hate Sidekick
Greetings, everyone. DannyD1997 here. Say, remember when I said I hate Grojband? I still do. But prior to Grojband, there's another show Todd Kauffman made that, honestly, shows why he's better with adult animation than kids' animation. I know he worked on Yin Yang Yo!, but I'll let that show slide. Granted, I don't like Yin Yang Yo! very much, but I will tolerate it for what it is. And I do find Total Drama to be an okay show; however, I still believe it fits better on [adult swim] than Cartoon Network. Bob and Margaret is a cartoon I actually do enjoy. And yes, Todd Kauffman DID work on Bob and Margaret as character designer, not even joking. Kauffman has only ever created three animated shows, and none of them held up in my opinion. Besides Looped and Grojband, Kauffman collaborated with Joey So in creating today's topic: Sidekick. Anyone remember Sidekick? And to those who thought this was a Teletoon show or a show that came out in 2007, well... Sidekick originated as a series
Why I personally don't like Family Guy
Greetings, everyone. DannyD1997 here. (Deep breath) I owe Seth MacFarlane, and his fandom, a HUGE fucking apology. Even if you don’t forgive me, at least understand that I never meant to be so harsh on everything Seth MacFarlane has done. Look, yes. I don’t like Family Guy. BUT… it’s not the worst cartoon I’ve ever seen. Same goes for American Dad!, and even the Cleveland show. However, if it makes you feel any better, yes. I have seen worse. Oh, believe me. I DEFINITELY have seen worse!! To those who say I was harsh on Family Guy and American Dad!, you were right. I definitely was. You don't have to forgive me, you just have to understand that I don't wanna be a jerk. Look, I've been harsh on a lot of shows and their fans. Ben 10, Danny Phantom, Rugrats, Doug, Regular Show, Phineas and Ferb, etc. Fuck, I was even harsh on SUPERJAIL! of all the shows!!! However, that's not the person I wanna be. Before I explain my feelings, yes. I still don't like Regular Show. But I agree more
My REAL Thoughts on the Problem Solverz
Greetings, everyone. DannyD1997 here. Say, remember when we all got frustrated by the Cartoon Network series the Problem Solverz? I'm not gonna lie, I too was one of those people, but I have to ask... was it REALLY Cartoon Network's worst show?? I have done some revisiting overtime, and I have noticed that maybe we may have been harsh on their creator Ben Q. Jones (I call their creator that, because I don't wanna confuse him with another cartoonist named "Ben Jones", who happens to be Canadian). I have seen a video years ago by Crowned Cryptid, who admitted to actually liking the show. Yes, he actually made this video. Well, I'm sure glad someone had fun with it. The series centers around our three main characters Alfe, Roba, and Horace. All of whom serve as detectives in their small town of Farboro, fixing other people's problems. And... I guess that's it, except that there were times where they actually cause the problems themselves, so they go to Tux Dog for help. When the

Personally, I thought Hello Bikini Bottom was garbage, but you're not the only person to disagree with that.
